Anthony Cullen has a great curiosity for journeys both culture-based and
personal. This has led his work towards testing the discourse around
difficult heritage and attempts to pre-empt trends when dealing with the
actions of power structures, institutions and techno-social environments
in the present. This often culminates in an exploration of what is not
being said as much as what is.

With extensive research and drawing supporting his practice Anthony
primarily uses video, installation and performance to engage with his
audience. This engagement is important to the artist leading to
immersive installations, audience interactions and possible community
involvement in the future. He has exhibited numerous times around
Ireland with one of his video pieces being shown as far away as
Hungary, at the Crosstalk video art festival in Budapest.
