My art practice concerns the psychology involved in change, coping mechanisms and resistance to change, which often leads to exploring the transfer of responsibility, guilt and trauma.
My latest area of research is in the coping mechanisms of people with severe physical challenges, particularly at a young age. I spent weeks away from my family in an orthopaedic hospital between the ages of five and ten. My challenges were minor compared to most of the other children in the hospital. I was both a subject and a witness at the same time, and I have taken a primary witness approach when exploring this area.
With extensive drawing and research supporting my practice, I primarily use video, installation and performance to engage with an audience.
